Metropolis is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to work under the
Director of Tax overseeing sales/use and parking tax compliance and
related activities. The position will be responsible for
supervising tax accountants and interns, reviewing and assisting
with the preparation of tax returns, audits, and ensuring timely
and accurate filings. Key responsibilities include data gathering
for audits, reviewing monthly use tax calculations, performing
account analyses, and researching new tax laws to assess their
impact on the company. What you'll do Supervise Tax Accountant and
Interns in the sales/use and parking tax process Review sales/use
and parking tax returns prepared by tax staff Assist in the
preparation of sales/use and parking tax returns Assist with data
gathering for sales/use and parking tax audits Review monthly use
tax calculation and perform monthly account analysis Research new
tax laws and the impact to the company Assist in the Preparation of
Federal/State Partnership Returns Respond to taxing jurisdiction
notices Assist with customary tax department compliance work
including tax research Handle oral and written correspondence from
field personnel What we're looking for Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting required 2 years experience in a Corporate Tax
Department or Public Accounting Firm, including 2 years preparing
sales and use tax returns Prior use of a tax research tool such as
RIA Checkpoint or CCH Intelliconnect Proficiency in Microsoft
Excel, including advanced functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc),
and accurate data tracking across multiple files Ability to work
effectively and contribute in fast-pace, multi-project environment
Ability to work independently and to adhere to deadlines Strong
written and oral communication skills When you join Metropolis,

this position is $90,000.00 USD to $110,000.00 USD annually. The
actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables,
including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the
position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level
of education attained, certifications or other professional
licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of
employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total
compensation package, which may also include access to or
eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and
long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative
