Opportunity! FORWARD SERVICE CORPORATION (FSC) UPWARD BOUND PROGRAM
Upward Bound JAM and Upward Bound Central Upward Bound Summer
Program A four-week position supervising and mentoring high school
students, plus three in-service/training days. Working days will be
as follows: Training (June 9-10): Full-day training at Ripon
College (overnight accommodations provided) (June 15-18, June 22-25
& July 6-9 July 13-17): Staff will live on campus at Ripon College
and supervise students (June 29-July 2): Staff will be either at
Ripon College or Wisconsin Dells (July 20-22): Trip to various
locations and campuses in WI, MN and IA. Staff will stay overnight
in hotels on the route and supervise students during the trip
Compensation: UB Summer Counselor: Total of $3,450 plus an
additional $100 for each returning year. Maximum pay of $3,950.
Payment is paid in two installments: half mid-program and half at
end. UB Summer Counselor Lead: Total of $650 plus an additional
$100 for each returning year. Maximum pay of $4,050. Payment is
paid in two installments: half mid-program and half at end. Why

What you get to do: Supervise, guide, tutor, and mentor students
Supervise recreation, program activities and meals Rotating night
supervision Assist in the development and implementation of
activities in the residence unit Chaperone one-day and multi-day
field trips Prepare reports on academics, student behavior, meals,
and accidents Participate in training and other staff meetings Page
Break Qualifications: As of June 2025, must be at least sophomore
status with at least one year of experience at a postsecondary
education institution with a GPA of at least 2.75 Have a high level
of maturity, adaptability, ability to work on a team,
self-disciplined Have familiarity with and sensitivity to the needs
of adolescents Have strong leadership skills, highly accountable,
and be reliable Can work with minimal supervision Hold a valid
