Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Oshkosh, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,486 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, 54904! Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Must-Have: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Preferred: CPI/MOAB, ENPC Description: The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a capacity of 72 beds. It operates a Level III NICU and is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center. The emergency department serves a range of patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics. Most patients are from the geriatric population. General Emergency Department skills are essential, including handling chest pain, abdominal pain, and falls. Pediatric experience is preferred but not required. Patient ratios are approximately 1:3-4 for both days and nights. Essential skills include establishing peripheral intravenous access, obtaining blood cultures with proper technique, managing chest tubes, and participating in code blue scenarios. Charge nurses occasionally take patients, with support from 2 technicians and a hospital unit coordinator. A mid-shift paramedic is available to assist. Primary responsibilities for blood draws fall to registered nurses, but phlebotomy support is available for challenging and time-sensitive cases. Hospitalist services are available 24/7, and mid-level providers work from 0800 to 2400. Respiratory therapists are also present around the clock. Monitoring is conducted at the bedside and at the nurses' station, with additional support provided for emergency room holds. Charting is done through the EPIC system, which is required. Nurses are expected to work weekends on a rotating basis, with some holiday availability based on staffing needs. Scrub colors are flexible but no denim, camo, or logos are permitted.
