Schedule: /n 100% FTE, 10-12 hour day shifts rotating with team,
Monday through Friday. Future weekend rotation required. /n As an
Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our
inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality,
cost-effective care to patients. /n We are seeking a Nurse
Practitioner or Physician Assistant to: /n /n - Provide care to
pediatric clinical and research neurosurgery patients at the
American Family Children’s Hospital. /n - Work in collaboration
with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to
provide on-going patient care and management. /n - Perform
inpatient rounding and discharge planning for pediatric
neurosurgery patients. Occasional assistance with outpatient
telephone follow up, patient support and prior authorization duties
may be required. /n - UW Health’s Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

advisory council serves to promote, support, advocate and advise on
APP practice and provide expertise and counsel on APP roles across

administrators. /n /n Education: /n Minimum – /n If Nurse
Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited
Nursing Program. /n If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s
degree from accredited PA Program. /n Licenses and Certifications:
/n Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure /n If Nurse
Practitioner*: /n /n - Active RN and APRN certifications and
licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice
AND /n - Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical
practice. These may include the following: Pediatric Acute Care /n
/n If Physician Assistant*: /n /n - Active PA license, including
prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND /n - Active PA
board certification /n /n All Nurse Practitioner and Physician
Assistant applicants must have*: /n /n - Active DEA license or
ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. /n -
Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state
of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other
