ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked • 13-week contract assignment • Every other weekend and holiday rotation required • Float to all inpatient units as needed • Can be placed on low census/on-call with 2-hour minimum call back pay • Patient ratio typically 1:4 on 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit • Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover • Care for post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients • Handle post-procedure cardiac catheterization, pacemaker, defibrillator, and ablation patients • Manage acute chest pain/MI and medical/surgical overflow patients • Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) • 2 years IMC/PCU/telemetry experience required • Must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips • At least one completed travel assignment required • 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required • Must pass EKG test within first week of hire • Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS • Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility • Any color scrubs permitted • Associate degree or certificate required; bachelor's degree preferred Facility: This healthcare facility features a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit that provides comprehensive cardiac care services.
