Must-Have: Experience with elderly patients Description: This
position is for a Long-Term Care RN. The facility is a nursing home
with a majority of private beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:20
for RNs and LPNs, and 1:8 for CNAs. Common patient diagnoses
include dementia, frailty, and rehabilitation needs. Job duties
include charting, assessments, charge duties, administering
medications, and performing clinical skills such as IVs,
catheterizations, and ostomy care. Experience with elderly patients
is essential. IVs and titratable drips are present on the unit. The
facility has an interdisciplinary team, including therapy,
administration, social workers, activities, dietary, and
housekeeping staff. Respiratory therapy is on-site 24/7, and there
is a pharmacy with a medication dispensing system. The schedule
includes block shifts with weekend requirements every other week,
and holiday availability is expected for at least half of the
holidays during the assignment. Nurses must be prepared to float to
other units as needed. Dress code requires any solid color scrubs
that are clean and professional. All clinicians must clock in and
