A rewarding opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within an elementary school setting. This contract position involves working two days a week, serving a young student population in need of occupational therapy services. The assignment is located approximately 45 miles west of downtown Chicago, in the Elgin, IL area, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact in a school community. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions designed to enhance students' functional abilities and participation in academic activities. Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement therapy plans tailored to the elementary population. Assess students' progress and adjust therapy approaches as necessary to ensure effective outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school policies and standards. Desired Qualifications: Valid Occupational Therapy licensure appropriate for school-based practice. Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching and administrative staff. Flexibility to begin the assignment promptly, with an ASAP start date.
