Madison is known for its beautiful lakes, lively downtown, and welcoming community, making it a wonderful place to live and work during your travel nurse assignment./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,120 - $2,230 per week/n - Location: Madison, WI 53792 — Madison nursing jobs, Wisconsin travel RN/n - Setting: University Hospital – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Recovery Room/n - Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)/n - Start Date: April 6, 2026/n - End Date: July 6, 2026/n - Duration: 13 weeks/n - Shift: Day/Evening, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (rotating start times between 6:30am and 10:30am)/n - Hours per Week: 40/n - On-Call: No regular call requirement (occasional need to stay past shift end to finish schedule)/n /n/nJob Requirements / Qualifications/n /n - Active Wisconsin RN license or compact license from permanent address state (must be in hand at submission) — travel nurse licensure/n - BLS & ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)/n - Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in PACU/recovery (ambulatory setting experience preferred) — PACU RN, post-anesthesia care nurse/n - Epic EMR / Epic charting experience required (preferred within the last 12 months)/n - Basic arrhythmia/telemetry experience required; must pass a telemetry test prior to start/n - Experience in a Level I Trauma Center required — perioperative and trauma nursing experience preferred/n - Ability to float to other units as needed (flexible travel RN)/n - Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility/n - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)/n /n/nKey Responsibilities (PACU Nurse / Recovery Room RN)/n /n - Provide comprehensive pre- and post-anesthesia care to patients undergoing outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures — PACU nurse duties/n - Care for patients after GI and bronchoscopy procedures and manage fast-track ambulatory recovery/n - Administer and monitor procedural sedation, manage central/PICC lines, and provide airway assessment and management/n - Interpret and communicate lab values, administer blood products, and manage pain control including PCA pumps/n - Perform pre-op assessments, patient/family education, medication administration, and discharge planning goals/n - Document all care accurately using Epic EMR (Epic charting experience required)/n - Float to other units and locations within the organization as needed to meet staffing requirements/n - Participate in orientation, competency testing, and a required telemetry exam prior to start/n /n/n /n Why Madison?
