At Whisker, life together just keeps getting better.Whisker is based in Auburn Hills, Michigan and Juneau, Wisconsin with 500+ passionate team members.What Youll Do:The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for coordinating facility maintenance activities, scheduling contractors, setting up and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, and coordinating janitorial activities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.Coordinates facility maintenance activities, including repairs, installations, and upgradesSchedules and manages contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasksCreates and maintains preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and facilitiesConducts regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and addresses them promptlyMaintains accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, invoices, and maintenance logsCoordinates janitorial activities, including cleaning schedules and supply managementEnsures compliance with safety regulations and company policiesResponds promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, prioritizing safety activitiesCommunicates effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendorsAssists in developing and implementing maintenance policies and proceduresIdentifies opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in maintenance operationsHelps with facility and janitorial activities when the need arisesPerforms other duties as neededRequirements:What Youll Bring:High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in facilities management or a related field is a plus.Proven experience in facility maintenance or a similar roleStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in computer applications, including Google Suites, MS Office, and maintenance management softwareKnowledge of safety regulations and best practices in facility maintenanceAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsFlexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededAbility to use cleaning and maintain equipment, chemicals and suppliesMust have reliable transportationMaintaining confidentiality of proprietary informationAbility to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptionAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members and colleaguesBenefits & Perks:Join a tenacious, inventive company that empowers team members to chart their own path, lead by grounding decisions in the why, and has a strong sense of empathy and openness to new perspectives.
