Overview:Quality Technicians provide assistance to the entire
production team as the voice of the customer in the implementation,
maintenance, and improvement of the quality system. Utilize
extensive participation and application of problem-solving
techniques and lean manufacturing principles. Responsibilities of a
Quality Technician include:
- Ability to assist with implementation/maintenance/improvement
of quality systems necessary to support ISO 9001 compliance
- Complete gauge calibrations
- Uses precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers,
plug gauges, bore micrometers, dial indicator height gauge) to
ensure that parts meet customer specifications
- Read and interpret part prints and understand the correlation
between the print and critical dimensions upon which SPC
(Statistical Process Control) charts are based.
- Understanding of the use of SPC computer system and the basic
principles of our SPC customer requirements.
- Records production, material and quality information on
designated AMMO operating systems and in accordance with AMMO
operating procedures. Includes and understanding of the purpose and
necessity for accurate record keeping.
- Create/maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and
documentation.
- Test products and materials or outsourcing testing as required.
Candidate Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong math skills and reading competence
- Ability to work with large press machinery
- Attributes: curiosity, passion for machinery, positive
