Job Description Job Description Description: Under the direction
of the Department Manager, the Material Packer ensures the
production of company products at the highest quality and at the
lowest possible cost, meeting company policies and procedures. The
Material Packer will act in a manner that is consistent with Gordon
Aluminum’s Customer 1st Philosophy. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not
all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and
responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to
time. The general purpose of the Material Packer is to prepare
“ready to ship” material for shipping, per the customer
requirements. Pack or download material per instructions. Clean
material and review for quality while packing or downloading.
Utilize technology to review job requirements, report production,
and to produce labels or reports. Maintain a clean, safe, organized
workspace. In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities

assignments Requirements: Qualifications To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general
education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and
experience. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and
amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply
concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Language Skills Ability to
read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write
routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively
before groups of customers or employees of organization. Reasoning
Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety
of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of
instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands Physical Demands refers to the level and/or
duration of physical exertion generally required to perform
occupational takes (sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying,
reaching, pushing and pulling). While performing the duties of this
job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands
to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
Perform repetitive motion of fingers, hands, wrists, shoulders and
upper body. On occasion the employee may be required to climb or
balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee must
frequently lift up 10 to 25 pounds and rarely lift up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required for this position include close
vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear
vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and
distinguish colors), Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area
that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes
are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three-dimensional
vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), and
ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an
object into sharp focus). Work Environment While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near
moving mechanical parts. Occasionally the employee will be exposed
to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne
particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually
moderate to loud. Employee is expected to wear the required
personal protective equipment when on the production floor. Notice
